COVENANT OF PROTECTION 2 Ephesians 2:11-18

In our sinful past, we had no right or privilege to stand before God. but Jesus cancelled the enmity between man and God by shedding His blood; V 13-16 “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby”.

He shed His blood to break down the wall of hostility between us and God, having achieved that, God’s protection automatically become our covenant right as a child of God.

God’s protection is not only against sickness and discomfort against us but anything that can bring harm or hurt to our lives, whether physically or spiritually. As a child of God under this covenant, you are exempted from all evils! Accidents, natural disasters, calamities, attacks both physical and spiritual, loss (of soul, money, time, properties etc.), economic woes, wars etc.

It does not mean that all or some of these will not come against us, but God will supernaturally protect us. However, a note of warning we must heed is, we must be living an obedient life! there are testimonies of people God gave instructions on investment, relocation, patience, vigilance etc. which they obeyed and saved their lives and possessions. Whereas on the other hand, many did not heed God’s instruction and they fell into mishap, scarcely escaping with their lives.

1John 5:4 “For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith”. According to this verse everything you have, both living and non-living are included in the “whatsoever” that is born of God.

Prayer point: I shall no longer record any loss in any aspect in Jesus’ name.
