HOW TO TRAIN THE HUMAN SPIRIT 1 Matthew 7:24-27

1) Meditate on the word: The most deeply spiritual men and women in life are people who give time to meditation of the word, Joshua 1:8. There is a big difference between reading and meditation. In meditation, the spirit is open to understand the mystery behind what is being read.

Take time to meditate on the word of God. Shut yourself in alone with your spirit where the world is shut out to avoid distractions.
2) Practice the word: James 1:22 “But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves”. Begin to practice being a doer of the word; under all circumstances, do what the word tells you to do, take practical lessons from the epistles. If you have big muscles and don’t exercise it, it will become flabby and near useless; same vein it is not enough meditating you must exercise the word meditated.
Philippians 4:6 “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus”. People many times obey this scripture in part; we pray truly but we fret over our issues. By so doing, we are not totally obeying the word. We must be conscious of the fact that it is not a matter of having a lot of faith, but it is a matter of acting on the word and exercising the faith that you have. Do not allow your mind to dwell on the wrong issues, don’t talk your problems, declare your victory, Philippians 4:8 “Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”.

Prayer point: I decree my spirit man is getting stronger in Jesus name.
