3) Give the word first place in your life: John 6:63 “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life”. The word you receive becomes a living entity. Make up your mind to always put the word of God first place in your life. As human beings we often make the word the last resort of our lives instead of the first. Sometimes in ignorance, family, friends and loved one may rush us into taking the wrong decision, but we must be careful to think about what the word say first. For example, in case of health emergency, you may be advised to rush to the hospital which is the most logical thing, but according to the word, you can deal with the situation by your faith declaration and acting on it.
4) Instantly obey the voice of your spirit: the voice of the human spirit is called the conscience, intuition, inner voice, inward guidance, a hunch etc. A spirit that is trained with the word of God can never lead astray, Proverbs 20:27 “The spirit of man is the candle of the LORD, searching all the inward parts of the belly”. Acts 23:1 “And Paul, earnestly beholding the council, said, Men and brethren, I have lived in all good conscience before God until this day”.
In the prophetic ministry, we hear the Holy Ghost often but we usually don’t hear Him for our own benefit. For our own personal guidance and direction in life, we have to listen to the voice of our own spirits.
NB: Note the first three of these four points have to do with the word. Without the word, the whole process is a failure!
Prayer point: Lord help me to live a disciplined life for You in Jesus name.
