After seeing the Uefa Champions League diary of past winners, my attention was drawn to three finals in particular; 1999, 2005 and 2014. What was significant about those finals? It recorded great comebacks. In 1999 up till 88th minutes, just remaining some few minutes to end the game, Manchester United was trailing Bayern Munich by a lone goal. In the 89th minute, Manchester United equalized and scored a second goal in additional minutes of normal regulation time. In 2005 liverpool were three goals down to AC Milan by end of first half. In the second half, they equalized and the match was forced to extra time. Still no goals and the match entered penalty shootout and Liverpool eventually won. In 2014, the most recent, Athletico Madrid was leading by one goal against Real Madrid unto the dying moments of normal regulation time before Real managed to equalize through Sergio Ramos and the match was forced into extra time. At the resumption of extra time real added three goals to lift the trophy.

Do not give up when it has not ended. Let the whole world write you off, but if God has not written you off, hang on in faith. Habakkuk 2:2-3 “Then the LORD answered me and said: Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it. For the vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry”. At the end, you shall be the winner.
