Sequel to yesterday’s devotional, with joy you are on a flight to glorious future. According to Psalm 16:11 “You will make Me know the way of life; in Your presence is fullness of joys. At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore” and Psalm 100:4 “Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and into His courts with praise; be thankful to Him, and bless His name”. the path of life shown to us by God can only be accessed by constantly being joyful. Without joy, you can never show gratitude to God.
We are aware that all mineral resources are dug up from the ground, for example, crude oil, wells are dug. Tin, coal, gold, zinc etc. wells are dug to get them out of the ground. Water which is life is also dug up from the ground, now the word says V 3 “And with joy, you shall draw water out of the wells of salvation”, anything associated with salvation like blessings, protection, fruitfulness, divine healing, protection, security, provision etc. can only be received through the joy of the Lord and thanksgiving unto Him. we must have joy in our heart always so as not to rob ourselves of the benefits of salvation that the almighty God has given unto us.
It is possible to have joy and may not be happy. Happiness has to do with the physical and our state of mind, it is being determined by outward or physical circumstances but joy is a thing of the heart. Joy comes from the Holy Spirit into our spirit. Some things may happen to us that may cause sadness like death to someone but at the same time have joy in our hearts that we know the said person has gone to be with the Lord.
Joy looks at the future and things that are eternal. Determine to be joyous always in life.
Prayer point: Father let me not be robbed of my joy in Jesus’ name.
