REJOICE IN THE LORD Philippians 4:1-7

When you discover the greatest weapon for living a fruitful life, such life takes a new turn for the positive. The Holy Spirit is speaking to Christians today about rejoicing always in the Lord. There are many wonderful truths that are embedded in the book of Philippians which has its root in the joy of the Lord.

Apostle Paul wrote this epistle to the Philippians from Rome, he was chained to a Roman guard, awaiting execution. Naturally, he should have lost hope of this world but he didn’t. he was actually enjoying himself because of the inner peace he has. He was on the brink of death and he could still talk of joy, what an irony! What could be responsible? The joy of the Lord has brought fulfilment into his heart and he does not have any concern about this life whatsoever. Reading the entire book, there are many powerful messages there, yet he could bring them out at a time he was living on borrowed time. V 4-5 “Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand”.
Nothing in this world is worth to lose our peace for. If you know the God that you are serving, and you are aware that He can do all things, there is nothing in this world that will make you fret. Worrying and fretting doesn’t get the job done, in fact, it worsens the situation. Isaiah 26:3 “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You; because he trusts in You”. When adverse winds blow in your direction, remind yourself of whom is inside of you, pick up the courage to face and challenge and above all, do not lose your peace.

Prayer point: I receive the grace to be happy at all times in Jesus’ name.
