V 4:4-8 “Rejoice in the Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice. Let your forbearance be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honourable, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things”.
Joy is the inner peace that we have in our spirit with the knowledge that God is in control no matter the situation. Joy is a manifestation of the presence of the Holy Spirit, it radiates out to the physical and it is everlasting. Happiness is a temporal feeling of euphoria often caused by an event.
To ever access the presence of the Lord, you need to be joyful, Psalm 100:4 “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name”. Most outstanding directions that people had received in life were received in the atmosphere of worship. Joy always brings down the presence of God into human affairs. In Acts 16, Paul and Silas did not mind their predicament but chose to worship God, and God honoured them by coming down into their praise.
The Holy Spirit is the person that gives joy but it is your duty to maintain it within you by constant fellowship with Him. You must deliberately fix your mind on good things that will allow your jot to continue to thrive. Maintain a joyous you always and your life shall never lack divine direction.
Prayer point: by the power of the Holy Ghost, I am joyous always in the name of Jesus.
