SALT OF THE WORLD Matthew 5:13-16

V13 “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men”. Salt is one of the most sought after commodity in the world, its importance to existence can never be over estimated. Among other importance of salt, It is the main source of sodium chloride ions in the human diet. Sodium is essential for the nerve and muscle function and is involved in the regulation of body fluid while chloride ion, serve as important electrolytes by regulating blood pH and pressure.
No matter how much is spent to cook a good food, it cant be called delicious until it tastes good because of salt. Your life must be that important that things are not qualified to be called good and beautiful without your impute. Anywhere you are, your value as a good catalyst for good things must be known even if it is not appreciated.
V14-16 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lamp stand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven”. The value of light is most appreciated in the dark. The world is in its most darkest period where evil has multiplied greatly but as a child of God, your light must shine and pursue the darkness in your immediate vicinity. No matter how thick darkness is, the moment light comes, the darkness disappear instantly, such must be your effect anywhere that you are.
Joseph and Daniel remained bright shining lights despite their initial predicaments. But after a while, the world came to appreciate them for being such great examples in life. Don’t mind the opposition and discouragement, just continue to focus on God.

Prayer point: I shall manifest my God given abilities for the world to see in Jesus name.
