V 13 “We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak”.
Apostle Paul quoted from Psalm 116:10 the veracity of the speaking faith. There is a kind of faith that despite strong opposition in the reality, does not give up but continue to hold on; that is, you speak the faith and believe that you have received already. A glaring example is the life of Abraham. At seventy-five years God called him out of his comfort zone and it was not to a definite location! Despite not knowing where he was going, by faith he looked into the future, Hebrews 11:9-10 “By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as [in] a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker [is] God”.
Also, when it was time to have the promised child, despite all circumstances in the physical were pointing in the other direction, he refused to give up. Romans 4:16-21 “Therefore [it is] of faith, that [it might be] by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, (As it is written, I have made thee a father of many nations,) before him whom he believed, [even] God, who quickeneth the dead, and calleth those things which be not as though they were. Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, so shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sara’s womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform”.
Jude 1:3 “Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort [you] that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints”. The spirit of faith is the same for all generations. It will manifest through the carrier if you believe in it. David through the same spirit of faith looked Goliath in the face and made bold declarations against him. Earnestly Contend for this daring spirit of faith to live a life of exploits.
Prayer point: By faith, I receive the spirit of faith to speak, believe and receive against all odds and get results in Jesus’ name.
