“And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe [and] to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth: and all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God”.
To have the same results that our fathers of faith had, we need the spirit of obedience. Some instructions are very hard to obey except you have the spirit of obedience. God called Abraham out of his comfort zone to nowhere in particular and he obeyed instantly. He waited on the Lord for the Promised child for twenty-five years. After some years that the child came, God asked him to sacrifice the child to Him. He obeyed Hebrews 11:17-19 “By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten [son], of whom it was said, that in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God [was] able to raise [him] up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure”.
Jesus our perfect example was obedient to death, Philippians 2:8 “And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross”. Hebrews 5:8 “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered”.
If you have gone far in the wrong direction, it is never too late to make a turnaround for the right direction. Prompt obedience will make your faith grow. Procrastination will only hinder you. Every act of obedience opens a new chapter in your life, every breakthrough testimony is traceable to an act of obedience. It guarantees access to supernatural supplies. Therefore, always be glad to obey divine instructions.
Prayer point: I receive the grace to be willing and obedient from today in Jesus’ name.
