5) Faith to give: 2corinthians 8:1-7 “And, brothers, we make known to you the grace of God which has been given among the churches of Macedonia; that in much testing of trouble, the overflowing of their joy, and the depth of their poverty, abounded to the riches of their generosity. For I testify that according to their ability, and beyond their ability; they gave willingly; with much beseeching, begging us that they might receive of us the grace and the fellowship of the ministry to the saints. And not as we hoped, but first they gave themselves to the Lord, and to us through the will of God, for us to call on Titus, that even as he began before, so he would also complete this grace to you also. But even as you abound in everything, in faith, and in word, and in knowledge, and in all earnestness, and in your love to us; you should abound in this grace also”. The Macedonian church was physically poor but they were very liberal at heart. Out of their deep poverty, they still found a way to give beyond their means. It takes a heart of faith to give in this kind of condition. Permit me to describe a scenario and I am sure many of us will recognize with it; maybe the Holy Spirit lay it upon your heart to sow a seed and you noted it down within you. But the more you think about it, the more reason you find not to sow the seed anymore! The reason for this is, though the will to do is there, but the faith to give is lacking. You need to work on your faith to give and it must be on the upward movement.
6) Power to receive: not only do you need faith to give, you need power to receive too. At times, some answers/blessings are delayed, not because the timing is wrong but the devil is delaying manifestation. For example, the destiny of a young man is such that when he marries, his glory will begin to shine or that if he travels out he will become great. The devil then does everything possible to block him from marriage or travelling out. But the day he discovers this truth, such an individual must begin to pray for power to get married or power to travel out as illustrated. Every day, you must decree you receive power to possess your possessions.
7) Avoid pride: whatever God has made you to achieve in life in terms of success and victory, never assume it was by your power.
8) Joy: Isaiah 12:3 “Therefore with joy shall ye draw water out of the wells of salvation. Proverbs 17:22 “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones”. You cannot be gloomy and expect blessings, it is not possible.
Prayer point: I arrest by fire, all powers blocking my breakthrough in Jesus name.
