The earth is the Lord’s and everything that is in it. Because the earth is His, He can yield the authority of it to whomever He wills. But not just anybody but those that have fulfilled certain requirements of His.
V 3-6 “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? and who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, and hath not sworn deceitfully. He shall receive a blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek after him, that seek thy face, O God of Jacob. Selah”.
To ascend the presence of the holy Lord, his hands must be clean. The clean hands do not mean the literal hands but the works of our hands. If a killer washes his hands a hundred times a day, it does not wash away the blood on his hands that human eyes cannot see. Whatever you do and your conscience tells you is wrong is a contaminant in your hand.
The purity of heart is when you don’t allow negative thoughts to fester in your hearts. Also, to always dwelling on the word of God for the renewal of our minds. This kind of heart is not encumbered with vanity or crazy quest for materials things. And he is not ready to obtain anything through deceit.
Such people shall be greatly blessed by the Lord because they shall manifest the glory of the Lord for the world to see. To live a life that pleases the Lord requires strict discipline and strong determination. And no matter the sacrifice you pay to serve God in spirit and truth, it always yields great dividends in this world and that which is to come.
Prayer point: 1) Father Lord help me love and serve You more.
2) Father Lord count me among the generation that seeks You in Jesus’ name.
