Peter and John performed a notable miracle that was undeniable, they healed a man born lame through the power of God. It such made news because the man used to sit at the entrance of the temple by the beautiful gate begging for alms and he was known to every worshipper that enters the temple. V11 “Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon’s, greatly amazed”.
With the evidence of the miracle there with them, i.e. the man, Peter seized the opportunity to preach gospel of Jesus Christ to the teeming audience. In his message, V19 “Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord”. The power of the Holy Ghost in the life of Peter and John empowered them to perform that miracle and also perform many more in their ministries. The power of the Holy Ghost brought refreshment into their lives and the whole nation at large after a period of spiritual dryness and thirst.
The same message has come to you today, the repentance preached here now does not mean you have not given your life to Christ but your love for God has gone down. Revive that love you had for God before now, the Holy Spirit is ever willing to visit your life with a new surge of refreshment. Per adventure within you, you know you have not given your life to Jesus, accept Him today as your Lord so that the Holy Spirit can come into your life and bring divine refreshment into your life.
The refreshment the Holy Spirit will bring into your life will permeate from the spirit realm into the physical. Just as the testimony of Peter and John could not be denied, the refreshment the Holy Spirit will give will bring undeniable testimonies into your life in Jesus name.
Prayer point: Holy Spirit come afresh into my life and bring a new surge of refreshment into my life in Jesus name.
