WHAT IS IN PRAISE? DIVINE REVELATION Daniel 2:1-22

In an atmosphere of true worship to God, divine revelations flow, Jeremiah 33:3 “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not”.

King Nebuchadnezzar had a strange dream and to compound issues, he forgot the dream. As totalitarian leader in those days, he ordered the wise men in the land to tell him the dream and the interpretation. This was an impossible task and the wise men gave him the right answer, V 10-11 “The Chaldeans answered before the king, and said, there is not a man upon the earth that can shew the king’s matter: therefore there is no king, lord, nor ruler, that asked such things at any magician, or astrologer, or Chaldean. And it is a rare thing that the king requireth, and there is none other that can shew it before the king, except the gods, whose dwelling is not with flesh”. This response infuriated the king and he ordered all wise men in the land be killed.

However, Daniel came to the rescue, he and his friends. They called upon God and He showed them the dream and its interpretation. The first thing they did was to praise God and returned all the glory back to Him, V 20-22 “Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God for ever and ever: for wisdom and might are his: And he changeth the times and the seasons: he removeth kings, and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise, and knowledge to them that know understanding: He revealeth the deep and secret things: he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him”.

You can never be short of divine revelation if you are given to worshipping God. Because as you praise and worship Him, He will always commune with you and His glory will continue to rub off on you, 2Corinthians 3:18 “But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord”. And when the glory becomes evident in your life, you will definitely be promoted.

Prayer point: Father Lord, let Your glory envelope my life in Jesus name.
